The Days of Creation Portable Sensory Path is an OT-designed movement path for K-2 Catholic and Christian schools — no installation required. This 3 ft x 10 ft rollable path guides students through all seven days of creation with purposeful, rhyming movement directions at every step. Just roll it out in a hallway, classroom, or prayer corner and go.
The 9 stations:
🙌 START — "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) Students take a deep breath and prepare their hearts for the journey through creation.
🌙 DAY 1 — LIGHT & DARKNESS — Open arms wide to greet the light, drop down low for the quiet night. Students stretch open wide, then crouch down small.
☁️ DAY 2 — SKY & WATERS — Reach up high, bend down low, sky to sea, and back we go! Students reach toward the sky, then bend low like rolling waves.
🌻 DAY 3 — LAND & PLANTS — Curl up small like a seed in the ground, jump up tall, stretch branches around! Students curl into a seed, then jump and stretch like a growing plant.
☀️ DAY 4 — SUN, MOON & STARS — Spin around just like the sun, reach up high to the stars, what fun! Students spin in place, then reach upward toward the stars.
🐟 DAY 5 — SEA CREATURES & BIRDS — Wiggle and swim like a fish in the sea, flap your wings and fly like you're free! Students wiggle their arms like fins, then flap their arms like wings.
🐻 DAY 6 — ANIMALS & HUMANS — Stomp like a bear, growl like a beast, stand up tall — God's masterpiece! Students stomp and growl, then stand tall and proud.
🙏 DAY 7 — DAY OF REST — Soft and still, hands on your heart, rest like God did — a peaceful start. Students fold their hands and breathe quietly, modeling stillness and rest.
✨ REFLECT — "God saw all that he had made, and it was very good." (Genesis 1:31) Students close the journey with a quiet moment of thanks.
